The President discussed several issues related to the city's ongoing operations with the head of Bendery state administration. The issue of maintaining the educational infrastructure was raised among other things. Roman Ivanchenko identified facilities requiring urgent repairs.
The Palace of Children's and Youth Creativity is among the top priorities. Following a fire at the Palace of Children's and Youth Creativity, the second floor of the building is without electricity. The assembly hall and electrical wiring require repairs. The roof requires reconstruction in addition to the need to repair the aftermath of the fire. Its structure is critically deteriorated, the wooden elements are completely unusable, and the slate covering has suffered extensive damage.
Roofing work at School No. 20 is needed. A leaking roof causes damage to the gymnasium flooring and the walkway during rainy seasons. Strong winds have caused the slate sheets to shift, further exacerbating the situation. The walls of the technology classroom at this school require repairs. School No. 4 requires roof repairs on two sections. A gale damaged the building of Kindergarten No. 3, damaging the slate roof. Major repairs to the Building A and the emergency exit staircase of Building G are urgently needed: cracks clearly indicate structural displacement. The walls and foundations of two buildings housing the Young Tourist Station are deformed (major structural repairs are needed). Destructive moisture is coming from below at School No. 18: the foundation waterproofing is damaged, and the concrete pavement is in poor condition. The gym and locker rooms at School No. 13 are in need of urgent repairs. The roof over the gallery needs to be replaced, and cracks in the walls, ceiling, and floor need to be repaired. The list of schools with similar problems includes the theoretical lyceum, schools Nos. 2, 5, 16, and 17, kindergartens No. 1 and 16, and the Harmony child development center. Furthermore, the temperature conditions in six Bendery educational institutions do not meet standards, requiring heating system upgrades.
The need to refurbish computer labs in 13 general education schools in Bendery, as well as to update chemistry, physics, and technology classrooms to meet modern standards, is also highlighted.
Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that the list has been taken into account. Ensuring comfortable and, most importantly, safe conditions for the educational process is a domestic policy priority. It is necessary in these challenging socioeconomic circumstances to find targeted resources for the renovation of each school building or the equipment of kindergarten kitchens. Taking into consideration the nationwide need for funds to modernize social infrastructure, the President emphasized that it is important for local authorities, city businesses, and the public to actively engage in addressing common challenges at the local level. The President emphasized the specifics of carrying out renovations at educational institutions it's best to do this during the school holidays.
