COVID statistics

According to the information announced in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus, 3255 Pridnestrovians are carriers of COVID-19 at the moment. 1460 of them are being treated in specialized hospitals. There are seven hospitals in operation. 263 hospital beds (88%) are occupied in Slobodzeya, 297 (99%) in Rybnitsa, 178 (86%) in Dubossary, 123 (94%) in Bendery, 367 (87 %) in Tiraspol on the basis of the Republican Clinical Hospital, 179 (90%) in the hospital for the disabled, 53 (71%) in the Kamenka hospital. The total workload of the Pridnestrovian network of coronavirus hospitals is 90%. 275 people, 18.8% of the total number of citizens hospitalized at the moment are hard to tolerate the coronavirus, 44 are patients in intensive care units, 3 patients are connected to artificial lung ventilation devices. 1795 Pridnestrovians are being treated at home. Hospitalization was required for 164 such patients in the period from 4 to 10 October.

7952 samples of the biomaterial of citizens with suspicion of infection were examined during the week (295678 during the entire time of the pandemic). The fact of the disease in the reporting period was confirmed in 2319 cases. The average daily incidence is 331 (it was 240 a week earlier). Growth is recorded for eight weeks. In total, 59166 cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded in Pridnestrovie during the coronavirus pandemic. 1389 carriers of the virus, 2.4% of cases died (twenty-seven deaths during the week), 54522 people - 92% of those infected coped with the disease (1525 recovered during the reporting week). There are 2508 Pridnestrovians in compulsory self-isolation.

Two secondary schools and one gymnasium, 151 classrooms in 54 secondary education institutions, and 42 groups in 31 kindergartens have been quarantined at the moment.

2386 Pridnestrovians underwent a full course of vaccination from 4 to 10 October. 102533 people, or 26.8% of the adult population, have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the republic in total.
