2488 Pridnestrovians are currently carriers of COVID-19, according to information announced in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President for prevention of the spread of corona virus. 1159 of them are being treated in specialized hospitals. 256 hospital beds (85%) are occupied in the Slobodzeya hospital, 256 (95%) in Rybnitsa, 183 (89%) in Dubossary, in 112 (86%) Bendery, 183 (76%) in Tiraspol on the basis of the Republican Clinical Hospital, 169 (85%) in the Republican hospital for invalids of the Great Patriotic War. The total workload of the Pridnestrovian hospital network is 86%. 241 people (21%) of the total number of citizens hospitalized at the moment are hard to tolerate the coronavirus, 35 are patients in intensive care units, five are connected to artificial lung ventilation devices. 1329 Pridnestrovians are being treated at home. 115 such patients needed hospitalization from September 27 to October 3.
6767 samples of biomaterial of citizens with suspected infection were examined during the week (287726 during the entire period of the pandemic). The fact of the disease in the reporting period was confirmed in 1678 cases. The average daily incidence is 240 (173 a week earlier). In total, 56847 cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded in Pridnestrovie during the coronavirus pandemic. 2.4% of cases or 1362 carriers of the virus died (thirty-six deaths during the week), 52997 people or 93% of those infected coped with the disease (951 recovered during the reporting week). 2797 Pridnestrovians are in obligatory self-isolation.
Two general education schools and 117 classes in 45 institutions of secondary education, as well as 39 groups in 29 kindergartens are closed for quarantine at the moment.
1164 Pridnestrovians underwent a full course of vaccination during the reporting week. 100147 people or 26.2% of the adult population were vaccinated against COVID-19 in the republic in total.
