The PMR Armed Forces celebrated the 32nd anniversary of the creation

Pridnestrovie is celebrating the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of the PMR Armed Forces. A solemn meeting on this occasion was held in the Great Hall of the Palace of the Republic. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky took part in the festive event. A documentary film about the history, achievements, modern everyday life and plans for the future of the Pridnestrovian army was presented to the attention of the guests. The Minister of Defense, Lieutenant-General Oleg Obruchkov, summed up the results of the activities of the defense department, recalling that the history of the republic's armed forces began with the creation of the Pridnestrovian guard. The memory of the defenders of the Fatherland was honored with a minute of silence.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky made a congratulatory speech. The President emphasized that the country is in a difficult and dangerous geopolitical situation. “It has always been difficult for us. All the time of our statehood, all 33 years it was not easy. Everything is together today: economic difficulties, and pressure, and the lack of political dialogue, and the war around us, of course. This is a completely new challenge, this is the next stage of the geopolitical catastrophes that our people experienced in certain periods of time. We have had such a fate, but we must be ready for it. The Lord gives trials according to our strength, and we must be strong, we must withstand difficulties”, Vadim Krasnoselsky aimed.

The PMR President focused on the unity of the army and the people. He spoke about the infrastructural and technical development of the armed forces. He especially focused on the importance of the education of military personnel, recalling that the republic has a full cycle of education in the defense sector. The President assured that a new training campus of the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of the PMR would be commissioned in the near future. The Commander-in-Chief emphasized that modern wars are different from the previous ones and require special knowledge and skills, the state is doing its best to create the appropriate conditions. The President spoke about the importance of ideology, emphasizing that Pridnestrovians have a history, continuity of generations, traditions and culture of honoring the memory of ancestors and their military exploits. Vadim Krasnoselsky stressed that the current servicemen and all Pridnestrovians are the heirs of numerous victories won in different historical periods. The President directed the commanders to train personnel in the spirit of understanding the historical essence of the creation of the Pridnestrovian statehood, noting that a soldier must understand what and whom he is called upon to protect. “We will be able to win only believing in ourselves and in our statehood. We will be able to win only by maintaining the continuity of generations, respect for our ancestors, our history, our faith. I believe in the Pridnestrovian people, I believe in the Pridnestrovian statehood,” summed up the Commander-in-Chief, calling for consolidation.

The most distinguished servicemen were awarded state awards and documents on conferring regular military ranks on the occasion of the departmental holiday. The solemn event continued with a festive concert prepared by the orchestra of the General Staff of the PMR Armed Forces.
