The sports results of the outgoing year were summed up at the Palace of the Republic

Vadim Krasnoselsky took part in the ceremony of honoring the best sportsmen and their coaches in 2019. The most worthy of the game teams were named. The Nominees were determined by the State Sports Service, based on their results and achievements on the results of the outgoing sports year. The list of the strongest includes 21 sportsmen. Among them there are winners of World and European championships in various sports, future participants of the XXII Olympic Games in Tokyo, laureates of international tournaments and festivals.

Welcoming the winners, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that behind each achievement is the colossal joint work of an athlete and his coach, whose experience and professionalism are the components of sports success.

According to Vadim Krasnoselsky, people who managed to achieve their goals in the sports will be successful in any sphere.

The President emphasized: the development of sports is one of the important directions of the state’s internal policy. This aspect is reflected in the Republic Development Strategy. For several years, sports facilities have been restored, opened and equipped in the cities of Pridnestrovie.

The President during the ceremony spoke about the first school of the Olympic reserve opened in the republic this year. Vadim Krasnoselsky urged coaches, sportsmen and their parents to think about the future of the young people, not limiting their development exclusively to sports goals and achievements. The combination of sports training and the educational process - the school operates on the basis of this principle, creation of which was initiated by the President. Vadim Krasnoselsky said that sport is an important component of a healthy lifestyle. He recalled that 2020 was declared the Year of Health in Pridnestrovie.
