Vaccination, Provision of Medical Institutions with Oxygen and Medicines under Control of the President

Members of the Operational Headquarters under the President discussed the issue of providing medical institutions with oxygen. Approximately two thousand balloons were delivered Only in Slobodzeya hospital and the Republican Clinical Hospital within the past three days. The main supplier for the hospital network of the republic is the Moldavian Metallurgical Plant. Its standard output is approximately 4 tons per day, permissible – 6 tons. Oxygen extraction at the plant reaches 10 tons daily under the current conditions. The stock of resources is melting. We need a source to cover the deficit of 4 tons every day. A quarter of them will be enough for Bendery Mother and Child Center due to excess capacity (the Bendery hospital is self-sufficient in medical oxygen). The rest was expected to be covered by the resources of the Slobodzeya station. It still does not function: the failed pump was dismantled and delivered to the Elektromash plant for repair work, the President was informed. On his behalf, additional consultations will be held on this issue.

The issue of vaccination was discussed at the meeting. Another 210 Pridnestrovians were vaccinated within three days. 1367 PMR citizens totally received the first dose of Pfizer and AstraZeneca on the territory of the republic. On April 12, another batch of Pfizer vaccine 120 doses was delivered to Pridnestrovie. Many residents of the republic pin their hopes on the Russian Sputnik V vaccine, therefore they are in no hurry to be vaccinated with other medicines. At the same time, it was emphasized at the meeting that various options should be considered. The relevant services have been instructed to study all drugs in this profile in order to have a complete understanding of the offerings on the COVID vaccine market.

Considering that while the practical involvement of Pridnestrovians in the vaccination campaign is small, the need for quarantine restrictions remains, it was noted at the meeting of the Operations Headquarters. They talked, for example, about the risks associated with the Easter holidays. The Sanitary and Epidemiological Station prepares recommendations. Vadim Krasnoselsky will discuss this issue with Bishop of Tiraspol and Dubossary Sawa in the near future. Another topic related to the observance of Orthodox traditions is the farewell ceremony for the deceased carriers of the coronavirus infection. The leaders of the country, the diocese and the Operations Headquarters constantly receive appeals from citizens about this: relatives ask permission to say goodbye to loved one and take him on his last journey. It was noted during the discussion of this issue: WHO confirms that the deceased COVID-positive not a source of infection. Russia has also lifted its severe restrictions. The Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of the PMR was instructed to work out this issue in detail and give its opinion.

Among the many topics raised at the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President there are preparation of recreational areas near water bodies for the beginning of the swimming season, the upcoming Saturday clean-ups, the preservation of centralized heating – according to the President, heat should be supplied till Easter holidays.
