Vadim Krasnoselsky met with Konstantin Zatulin in the State Duma of Russia

Working meeting of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky with the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee for CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Konstantin Zatulin took place today at the site of the lower chamber of the Russian Parliament.

The PMR President, welcoming the interlocutor, highly appreciated the existing level of bilateral contacts, expressing gratitude to the Russian parliamentarian for constant attention to the aspirations of Pridnestrovians.

The parties during the conversation continued to discuss practical steps aimed at protecting the rights and interests of Russian compatriots in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. They noted the need for further work to create a legal mechanism to simplify the acquisition of Russian citizenship by residents of Pridnestrovie. They paid attention to the issues of consular and socio-economic support of the PMR population.

Vadim Krasnoselsky and Konstantin Zatulin exchanged views on the situation in the field of regional security. The President of the PMR emphasized in this context that there is no alternative to the existing peacekeeping format that for almost three decades has proven its effectiveness and reliably ensures peace and stability on the banks of the Dniester.

They spoke during the meeting about possible ways of realizing the existing potential of cooperation between Pridnestrovie and Russia, including in trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, educational and other spheres. Current trends in the process of the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian settlement were discussed. They also talked about the results of the working meeting on Pridnestrovie held on the 17th of March at the State Duma and the implementation of the protocol adopted in the development of the event.
