Vadim Krasnoselsky met with eminent football player Igor Belanov

Igor Belanov, two-time champion of the USSR, three-time champion of the USSR Cup, vice-champion of Europe, winner of the Cup of Cups and the Golden Ball in 1986. The eminent athlete arrived in Tiraspol to participate in the ceremony of honoring the best Pridnestrovian players in 2019. The ceremonial event will take place today in the City Palace of Culture. Vadim Krasnoselsky will also take part in it. The President talked with a football player and a public figure on the eve of a ceremony dedicated to World Football Day. The meeting was held in the office of the President. Igor Belanov shared his impressions of Pridnestrovie, which he is visiting not for the first time. He noted the infrastructural changes that are changing the face of the republic. The interlocutors spoke about sports in general and football in particular. Vadim Krasnoselsky said that in Pridnestrovie, increased attention is paid to the development of physical culture and the introduction of the population to a healthy and active lifestyle. It was about supporting various sports areas, building and equipping stadiums, playing fields. Football is the most common of the mass sports. Involvement in the game among representatives of different generations is growing. This is facilitated by the appearance throughout the republic of new landscaped areas for amateur and professional futsal games. Igor Belanov said that he saw some fields, noting their high quality. Participants of the meeting also spoke about the “Leather Ball” tournament revived at the initiative of Vadim Krasnoselsky. The organization within the framework of the games unites young people, creates a competitive atmosphere and allows you to identify real sports talents among school children, said Vadim Krasnoselsky.
