Vadim Krasnoselsky held a meeting of the Operational Headquarters to prevent the spread of coronavirus

The working week of the President began with the next meeting of the Operational Headquarters. In formation on coronavirus relevant for Monday morning: 47 cases of disease of Pridnestrovians were registered, 43 people undergo treatment at Slobodzeya hospital, three infected citizens died.

Sanitary treatment of premises and public areas was continued on weekends. 2800 objects were processed. 16500 objects have been sanitized for all the time of this practice. To date, these are all planned facilities. Quickly apply disinfectants will continue in the event that focal point of infection is detected at a particular address.

The hotline at the Operational Headquarters continues to function and is actively used by citizens. Since its organization, 19000 requests have been received, over seven hundred in the past day. In addition to consulting assistance, residents of the republic also apply for material support. In collaboration with specialists from the Ministry of Social Protection and state administrations of cities and regions of the republic, a list of people in need of food is formed. The mechanism for targeted delivery of food packages will be centralized, while the President urged the Heads of local administrations not to wait for decisions from above, but to take support measures at their level, relying on internal reserves.

The Head of the Operations Headquarters Ruslan Mova informed the President and colleagues about the launch of a single Crisis Center at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It was organized at the assembly hall of the Ministry of the Interior, equipping the workplaces of the center’s employees with the necessary equipment. The staff works around the clock. It included representatives of law enforcement agencies, security agencies, the foreign ministry, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Economic Development. Participation of psychologists, employees of the sanitary and epidemiological service is important. It was decided to include employees of the Ministry of Social Protection and Labor, as well as tax officials, in this socially significant activity. Ruslan Mova reported that safety of the Crisis Center representatives is ensured in full: employees are placed in compliance with the quarantine distance, provided with protective equipment, the room is systematically disinfected with five quartz lamps.

Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with epidemiologists, continue to monitor compliance with sanitary and quarantine requirements in medical facilities. The supervisors have visited 95 healthcare facilities over the weekend. The largest number of violations - 126 - was recorded in the capital. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers this attitude to safety requirements unacceptable. He recalled that the doctor is not only a priori at greatest risk of infection, but also the most dangerous subject in terms of the spread of infection. The President emphasized that everything necessary has been done to ensure the protection of physicians. It is a matter of consciousness and personal responsibility. The situation similar to that in neighboring Moldova, where more than two hundred doctors have already been infected, cannot be allowed, said Vadim Krasnoselsky. He asked about the security of medical facilities. To date, 2570 medical overalls have been sewn by local factories; another 660 will be launched at the assembly line today. The basic need for masks is provided. The volume of their daily production is slightly reduced - up to 12000-15000 per day. Glasses are purchased. In addition to the previously acquired 400 units, MMZ will provide two hundred pairs of glasses with a high degree of protection, and another fifty - less effective than those proposed by metallurgists, but also with a fairly good level of protection - are available at the Electromash plant.

The President asked about arranging the staff of the Slobodzeya hospital for temporary residence isolated from families. 36 doctors live in the building of the Dniester Dawns recreation complex to date. The number of people who want to change their place of residence during the fight against the pandemic is growing: doctors are aware of the danger that they may pose to others. The Minister of Defense, who manages the complex, announced his readiness to receive up to 140 people (subject to accommodation of two in a room). So far, doctors housed in the Dniester Dawns have no need for a neighborhood.

Vadim Krasnoselsky during the meeting announced the arrival of 5000 tests from Russia to determine the presence of coronavirus. Responsible services are entrusted with ensuring their safety and strictest accounting. Increased demands are also made on the use of medications that are recognized to be effective in combating COVID-19. Each unit must be accounted for, use must be strictly accountable. As for the deployment in Pridnestrovie of a laboratory for the study of biomaterial samples of potential carriers of coronavirus: its location has been determined - this is the HIV / AIDS laboratory located in the premises of the former infectious disease ward of the Republican Clinical Hospital. Organizational work is currently underway. The facility requires special insulation, air filtration and many other measures of increased protection. A specialist from the Chisinau Medical Center will be invited to test run and test the laboratory upon completion of these works.

Another topic that was raised at today's Operational Headquarters meeting is the culture of wearing masks. The problem is that citizens rush from one extreme to another: some neglect the means of protection, others lead to paranoia, the meeting participants said. It is important to convey a simple algorithm to the population: mask is needed when communicating with potential carriers of infection, in public attendance rooms or when you are in a confined space with unfamiliar people. At home in the family circle and in the fresh air, being at a quarantine distance from other citizens, there is no need to wear a mask. Moreover, this is contraindicated, since the constant wearing of a dense tissue mask disrupts the vital processes of oxygen intake at the moment of inhalation and the release of carbon dioxide on the exhale. The restriction of full breathing in the future can provoke pulmonary diseases, the spread of which will become widespread, which is unacceptable, emphasized Vadim Krasnoselsky. He instructed the media to focus on this issue. Another appeal, which, according to Vadim Krasnoselsky, should be addressed again and again to the residents of the republic: to consult doctors in a timely manner. The President recalled that two out of three deaths among Pridnestrovians who had coronavirus were associated with an extremely belated request for medical help. Doctors work around the clock so that citizens can receive qualified help at the earliest stage of the disease. By the decision of the Operational Headquarters, calling the local doctor to the house will now be available on Sunday. There is such an opportunity, since a significant number of doctors during the emergency are not in the workplace, but continue to carry out their socially significant service.

Practical issues related to the work of medical staff in emergency situations will be discussed tomorrow at the meeting under the President. The Chairman of the PMR Government, the Minister of Health, the chief physicians of medical institutions, as well as the heads of state administrations of cities and regions of the republic were invited to the remote conversation.
