Vadim Krasnoselsky met with the Special Representative of Ukraine on the issues of Moldovan-Pridnestrovian settlement Viktor Kryzhanovsky

The agenda of the meeting of the PMR President and the Special Representative of Ukraine includes current issues of bilateral interaction between states, as well as the situation in the negotiation process. Welcoming the Ukrainian diplomat, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized the importance of Ukraine’s participation in the work of the “Permanent Conference ...” format.

Viktor Kryzhanovsky, in turn, noted that the changes in the Ukrainian leadership since his previous visit to Pridnestrovie have not diminished Ukraine’s interest in continuing the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian dialogue.

The interlocutors said that recently the activity of the negotiation process has noticeably decreased.

The PMR President drew attention of the Special Representative of Ukraine to the situation with the blocking of accounts of a number of Pridnestrovian enterprises in Moldovan banks. Vadim Krasnoselsky said that letters were sent to all participants of the 5 + 2 format asking them to evaluate the objectivity of this decision. The PMR President also focused on other aspects of Moldovan-Pridnestrovian relations, which require solution and participation from the guarantors and mediators of the negotiation process.

The meeting participants, having discussed the whole range of issues included in the agenda, agreed to continue the discussion in working mode. The PMR President expressed confidence that the dialogue would allow advancement in solving existing problems, and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation.
