Vadim Krasnoselsky held a telephone conversation with Igor Dodon

A telephone conversation was held between the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky and the Head of Moldovan State Igor Dodon. The interlocutors confirmed their readiness to meet at the end of this month to discuss current issues on the negotiation agenda.

The presidents spoke about the situation with COVID-19 in Pridnestrovie and Moldova, as well as about measures taken by the Pridnestrovian side to prevent the spread of coronavirus. This, in particular, was about quarantined sanitary posts, the need for which was due to the creation of anti-epidemic barriers. Initially, 31 such posts functioned. After the cancellation of the state of emergency in Pridnestrovie, their number was halved. To date, the list of categories of citizens who are allowed to cross the Pridnestrovian-Moldavian border has been significantly expanded. The number of daily entry (exit) facts exceeds 8600 intersections (for comparison, the indicator for July 2019 is 12 thousand), Vadim Krasnoselsky informed Igor Dodon. The PMR President emphasized that it will be possible to talk about the complete removal of temporarily deployed quarantine-sanitary posts after epidemiological situation in both republics is favorable.
