The decision to deploy a branch of the COVID hospital at the Center for Mother and Child was made yesterday in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus. This medical facility will expand the network of infectious diseases hospitals by three hundred beds. Organizational and preparatory work is now underway - with close cooperation of the city administration, hospital and the Ministry of Health. The premises of the medical institution must be zoned in a special way - to ensure greater safety of patients and employees. In addition, the hospital linen is being replaced. It will be temporarily withdrawn, replaced with sets that were used at the Suvorov Military College and the Republican Clinical Hospital during the period when branches of infectious hospitals were located there for asymptomatic carriers of the virus in order to keep the bedding available at the center "clean" from a sanitary and epidemiological point of view on the recommendation of the President.
The President asked about the readiness of the Center for Mother and Child in Tiraspol for a doubled influx of patients today. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that the quality of medical care for women and newborns should not suffer from the forced merger during the exacerbation of the coronavirus situation of the two centers.
