Vadim Krasnoselsky held a conversation with the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch

The dialogue between the PMR President and the European diplomat was held via video link. The PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev took part in the conversation.

Welcoming Claus Neukirch, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that attention from the representatives of the international community is important for the republic. The Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, in turn, noted that he was closely monitoring the situation in Pridnestrovie and the events abroad.

The interlocutors discussed the course of the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova. Vadim Krasnoselsky outlined the aspects that impede its systematic flow. It was about the destructive steps of Moldova, complicating the dialogue. Special attention was paid to measures taken by Pridnestrovian leadership to protect the rights and interests of citizens of the PMR, as well as to maintain the legal capacity of the negotiation mechanism.

The PMR President in this regard noted that the pandemic period was a certain “test” for the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian relations, revealing the political background of the counterproductive actions of Moldova and revealing the depth of the contradictions between the parties. Vadim Krasnoselsky and Claus Neukirch said that they welcomed the resumption of work at the level of relevant experts of the parties. It was noted that so far it has not brought tangible results.

The PMR President drew attention of the interlocutor to the need for the full implementation by the Moldovan side of the whole range of agreements within the Berlin+. The participants in the conversation exchanged views on a wide range of topical issues and discussed parameters of further interaction.

They also spoke about progress in the fight against coronavirus, both in the world and in Pridnestrovie. Vadim Krasnoselsky told Claus Neukirch about the Pridnestrovian experience of preventing mass spread of COVID-19, as well as how the country is gradually emerging from comprehensive quarantine.
