Vadim Krasnoselsky took part in the opening ceremony of the reconstructed building of the General Staff of the PMR Armed Forces

The building of the General Staff of the PMR Armed Forces has not been renovated for decades. Thanks to the program of the Capital Investment Fund, the launch is aimed at updating the social infrastructure, including the army, this facility has been brought into proper condition and equipped with everything necessary for officers to comfortably carry out their duty. Today it is officially put into operation. The solemn ceremony of opening the renovated building was timed to coincide with the 29th anniversary of the creation of the PMR Armed Forces. Commander-in-Chief Vadim Krasnoselsky took part in the festive event.

The President said that he had repeatedly visited these walls and saw that the building did not correspond to the most important functionality of the department, the staff of which was housed in the building. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled that the task of updating the army infrastructure and improving the material and technical base of the PMR Ministry of Defense was set back in 2018 and enshrined in the Development Strategy of Pridnestrovie. Bringing the building of the General Staff of the PMR Armed Forces into proper condition is one of the priority assignments, but far from the only one that has already been fulfilled. The barracks are being put in order, comfortable conditions for service are created, uniforms and food for military personnel are improved, housing is being rented for their families, the President recalled. Vadim Krasnoselsky did not disregard the noticeably increased level of combat training in the Pridnestrovian army.

The most distinguished servicemen were awarded state and departmental awards, and were awarded the next, including ahead of schedule, military ranks.

The President and the Minister of Defense of the PMR, having cut the symbolic red ribbon, inspected the repaired and comfortable premises of the General Staff. Checkpoint was equipped, the roof was replaced, major overhaul of the initially three-story building was carried out, the fourth floor was completed, on the basis of which the assembly hall was equipped and the Defense Control Center equipped in compliance with modern standards during several months of reconstruction. There are also areas allocated for a museum of the Armed Forces and a buffet. New furniture and office equipment have been installed in the offices. The building is equipped with a new mast for receiving and transmitting information, as well as a communication center.

The first working meeting was held under the leadership of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky in the new hall of the Defense Control Center.
