Vadim Krasnoselsky visited the Crisis Center, created on the basis of the PMR Ministry of Internal Affairs

The PMR Ministry of Internal Affairs is the core at the mechanism created in Pridnestrovie to counter the spread of coronavirus, minimize the negative impact of the pandemic and eliminate its consequences. The Head of department headed the President’s Operational Headquarters created by decision of the President. Hotline which received over 19000 calls has been operating during the month. Citizens seek clarification, consultation, and practical assistance in resolving issues related to the introduction of the state of emergency in the country. Law enforcement officials have maintained dialogue with the public until now. Taking into consideration the volume and versatility of incoming requests, it was decided to create the united Crisis Center, where the hotline remains. The new structural unit of the Headquarters is located at the Ministry of Internal Affairs (the center was located in the assembly hall of the department), but now not only law enforcement officers are involved in the work, but also representatives of medical, economic, social, foreign policy and other spheres.

Today is the first day of the center. The President arrived to get acquainted with the organization. The Minister of Internal Affairs Ruslan Mova introduced the Head of the Crisis Center to Vadim Krasnoselsky. Vadim Shmalenko, the Head of the Main Directorate for Emergency Situations of the PMR Interior Ministry was appointed to this position. The President was told that organizational and commissioning work was carried out over two days - Thursday and Friday. The center has been working in test mode in a weekend. Today is a full-time work day for three dozen specialists of different directions. Before lunch, 226 calls were received in electronic form and about four hundred calls were received. Workplaces are equipped with all necessary and are located in such a way as to ensure a quarantine distance between employees. The hall is divided into four zones. The first is to receive calls coming to the hotline. If possible, the operator consults, if the issue is not in his competence, he redirects it to the representative of the profile service. The two sectors bring together specialists in the domestic policy. Employees of ministries, departments and services are in charge of foreign policy issues, including interstate movement of citizens in the fourth zone. There is no paper workflow: all applications are accepted, processed and accumulated in electronic form. They deployed a server room on the spot, started up all the necessary communications, use a software product created two years ago on their own, Ruslan Mova informed. The center involves round-the-clock work. But at night, the room is disinfected, ventilated and cleaned. Employees recruited from other departments conduct receptions from 8.00 to 20.00 (during 12 hours). Applications received at night will be received by operational officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs who are on duty, to process it and, if it is not possible to give an immediate qualified response, to transfer to specialized specialists in the morning.

The President considers the creation of a single round-the-clock Crisis Center a correct and timely solution. A direct dialogue between citizens and government representatives allows us to quickly close vital issues for residents of the republic, thereby relieving tension in society associated with unexpected and unusual circumstances in which the country and the whole world are in connection with the pandemic. Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed gratitude to the organizers and employees of the center, noting that each of them deserved the flowers that decorated the workplace.
