Vadim Krasnoselsky examined the premises of the Republican Sports Rehabilitation Center for people with special needs

The Republican Sports Rehabilitation and Recreation Center for people with special needs is no longer a plan, but the result of the capital investment program. The building allocated to the organization was repaired and equipped during three years, spending over 10 million rubles from Capital Investment Fund. The opening took place in September 2020. The coronavirus pandemic prevented people with special needs from taking full advantage of its opportunities. Now, when society is gradually returning to full life, on the initiative of Vadim Krasnoselsky, members of the Operational Headquarters decided to resume the work of institutions that are visited by citizens with special needs and health conditions. A special commission gave permission to work and the Tiraspol center. Visitors will come here soon. Today the President examined the object. He was accompanied by the Head of the Tiraspol administration Oleg Dovgopol, the Minister for Social Protection and Labor Elena Kulichenko, the Head of the Department of Architecture and Construction of the PMR Ministry of Economic Development Ivan Untu and the deputy of the Supreme Council Ilona Tyuryaeva. The Head of the center Georgy Cheban spoke about readiness of the institution to work. The guests examined sports halls - chess and checkers, table tennis, a gym and a hall for game sports. The final finishing touch is the stretching of the volleyball net. The simulators are planned to be added gradually. Table tennis equipment is a special pride of the administration of the institution (up 120 tennis balls per minute thanks to this modern specialized equipment). The President's attention was drawn to typewriters for typing in Braille in the library hall. Another type of equipment that the President was interested in is an apparatus that enlarges and displays text typed on paper, a kind of improved magnifying glass, without which not a single visually impaired person can do. There is only one such unit in the center. Its cost is from one thousand to one and a half thousand conventional units. After a conversation with the head of the institution, Vadim Krasnoselsky made a decision to purchase 10 such units. Four units will be used by visitors to the center for people with special needs, another six will be sent to the Bendery correctional boarding school.
