Vadim Krasnoselsky examined the park named after Peter Wittgenstein

The republic’s leadership pays special attention to the improvement of parks, alleys, recreation areas and active leisure in the settlements. The visit to Wittgenstein Park was included in the program of the President’s visit to the Kamenka district. The President emphasized that this object has not only social significance. The park is part of the history of the city. It was made in 1918 by Peter Wittgenstein. Plant architecture, ponds and rotundas of the Kamenka park were known far beyond the borders of not only the princely estate, but also the city. Having acquired the status of a public place over time, the park attracted numerous guests to Kamenka. The current leadership of the district has the task of reviving this tradition. The park must be restored and updated. A lot of ideas and suggestions were considered. The Head of the district, Vladimir Bychkov, presenting to the President today the existing design developments, talked about the proposed fountains, the unique fencing, bridges, lanterns and other elements classified as small architectural forms. Particular attention is paid to the future reservoir. The President made practical recommendations for its arrangement. They talked about the materials that will be used in the implementation of the project. They discussed the feasibility of maintaining existing attractions and the prospects of installing new ones. They evaluated the state of the stage and sector for the audience, indicating the amount of upcoming work. The President emphasized that the architectural and infrastructural elements should be harmoniously combined, creating a general impression of the park complex.

The President outlined the priority positions of the forthcoming work. The talk is about construction of a pumping station, paving of the park with paving slabs (an area of ​​11 thousand square meters) and preparatory work for filling the pond with water. In addition, it is necessary to begin work on the construction of a park entrance group. The district leadership has to immediately calculate the upcoming costs in order to begin to implement the plan already with the beginning of 2020. No more than two years are allotted for the implementation of plans.
