Vadim Krasnoselsky, the PMR President: “The working visit to the Russian capital was planned. Pridnestrovian-Russian interaction is of a systemic nature and is carried out in various directions. Representatives of executive authorities, individual ministries and departments are in close contact. Parliamentary cooperation is carried out non-stop. The solution of some issues requires my participation as the leader of the country. I had planned and had meetings in the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, in particular with Dmitry Kozak. We discussed socio-economic interaction, some aspects related to consular services for compatriots on the territory of Pridnestrovie, talked about the negotiation process with Moldova and its recent negative trends. Dmitry Nikolaevich is well aware of what is happening, and the conversation was of a concrete working nature. Meetings in the State Duma and the Federation Council are also valuable. Parliamentarians and senators represent and defend the interests of Russian citizens, including those living in Pridnestrovie. My current interlocutors know firsthand how Pridnestrovie lives, they often visit us, communicate with both state and public figures, colleagues deputies, and residents of the republic, know about the needs of Pridnestrovians.
Exchange of views, the possibility of direct contact - all this allow conveying the position of the Pridnestrovians on topical issues. This is the fight against the pandemic, protection of peacekeeping, necessity to resume full-fledged negotiation process, and strengthening and building up of economic ties, and preservation of foundations of the Russkiy Mir (russian world), Pridnestrovie is an integral part of it. The world situation changes every day. There are questions that remain relevant, there are new challenges. All of them require solutions, and therefore, discussion on various platforms. This very discussion was the purpose of the visit to Moscow. Each of the meetings is important and effective”.
