Vadim Krasnoselsky and Archbishop Sawa exchanged Easter greetings

The President received Archbishop of Tiraspol and Dubossary Sawa. The meeting took place at the presidential executive office. The interlocutors exchanged Easter greetings, emphasizing the significance of this holiday. It was noted that Pridnestrovian churches were very crowded on the night of the Resurrection of Christ. The clergy were blessing the Easter cakes from three o'clock in the morning until eight in the morning – the flow of parishioners did not dry out throughout this time. Words of gratitude were addressed to the militia officers who ensured law and order during these hours. There were no unpleasant incidents recorded. Vadim Krasnoselsky drew attention to the fact that citizens think about Easter with special respect and correctly understand the essence of this Orthodox holiday. The President and Archbishop discussed upcoming events, including visits to cemeteries by Pridnestrovians and guests of the republic during Day of Rejoicing. The theme of the upcoming Great Victory Day did not go unnoticed. They also talked about work plans for the near and medium term.
