The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky met with Dmitry Kozak in Moscow

The meeting of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky with the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak took place in the building of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation.

In the course of the conversation the PMR President praised the intensity of bilateral working contacts and emphasized that the Russian Federation is a key partner of Pridnestrovie and these relations are strategic in the republic.

Vadim Krasnoselsky and Dmitry Kozak thoroughly discussed relevant aspects of Russian-Pridnestrovian cooperation in various fields. Particular attention was paid to the emerging situation in the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova. They spoke about the negative trends associated with the unresolved issues of a number of long-standing acute issues, as well as about the new problems faced by the inhabitants of Pridnestrovie in connection with the unilateral actions of Moldova. The interlocutors are unanimous in their opinion about the need for speedy and full-fledged implementation of the previously reached agreements and the unacceptability of creating artificial complications at all levels of the negotiation process. The parties spoke in favor of the smooth functioning of the “5 + 2” international negotiation format and the holding of regular meetings.

A detailed exchange of views on the development of trade and economic cooperation, including with regard to increasing mutual trade between the two countries continued a working discussion. Vadim Krasnoselsky and Dmitry Kozak considered the prospects for implementing a number of social and humanitarian projects aimed at supporting Russian citizens and compatriots living in the PMR. They discussed the parameters of Russian-Pridnestrovian cooperation as part of a series of events in the PMR dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

At the end of the meeting, the interlocutors outlined plans for bilateral cooperation this year and agreed to continue a working dialogue on the entire spectrum of areas of cooperation between Pridnestrovie and Russia.
