Current Work of the Operational Headquarters

Issues related to additional payments to health workers involved in anti-coronavirus activities were discussed during the Operational Headquarters under the PMR President meeting on prevention of the spread of coronavirus. The point was that the amount of financial incentives should depend on the level of risk. It is proposed to distinguish three categories of medical institutions. The staffs of second-level hospitals - COVID hospitals, as well as ambulance services and coronavirus laboratories - are classified in the category with the highest risk of illness - additional payments will be 100%. Employees of the first-level medical institutions in which patients are suspected of being infected and awaiting the results of laboratory testing of biomaterial, as well as health workers collecting samples for analysis, and epidemiologists of the sanitary-epidemiological station, according to the project under discussion, will receive salary increase of 75%. Hospitals of the third level are hospitals in which citizens who have completed the treatment of COVID-19, but are under medical supervision, are temporarily isolated, are classified as the least dangerous in terms of the likelihood of infection of employees, therefore it is proposed to establish the amount of additional payments in half compared to payments to employees of directly infectious hospitals.

The Health Ministry and the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service were instructed to work out the proposed mechanism in detail by August 1.
