It was noted at the Operational Headquarters under the PMR President, that the Epidemiological situation in the republic was controlled, but still persistently unfavorable. 63% increase in the incidence was recorded during the week (81 cases over the past seven days against 51 weeks earlier). The chief sanitary doctor of the republic Natalya Beril said that the spread coefficient is registered at the level of 1,5. Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that if the daily statistics of previous periods indicated a dozen cases, now up to 15 carriers of COVID-19 are detected per day. At the same time, the President noted as a positive aspect, the fact that the death rate in the republic decreased by 4,1% compared to the same period last year despite the pandemic.
Vadim Krasnoselsky called the increase in the number of Pridnestrovian doctors infected with coronavirus depressing. 11 cases this week are associated with identified focal point of infection in the Bendery polyclinic. There are sick employees of medical institutions in other cities and regions. The President emphasized that the reasons are primarily in the negligence of the personnel themselves and the weakening of executive discipline in terms of compliance with self-defense measures. The Health Ministry was instructed to strengthen control in this direction.
Vadim Krasnoselsky considers early detection of the disease, prompt isolation and timely provision of qualified medical care in a specialized hospital as one of the basic components of a successful response to the pandemic. The President is sure that this algorithm that minimizes losses among carriers of the virus. He urged all structural subdivision involved in the fight against coronavirus, not to reduce vigilance.
Considering the upcoming start of the educational process, the risk of increase in morbidity among the population is high and predictable, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted during the meeting. In his opinion, it is too early to talk about reopening of infectious diseases hospitals in towns and districts of the republic (and perhaps not necessary), but readiness on the ground should be one hundred percent, the President pointed out. Vadim Krasnoselsky asked about availability of express tests. At the beginning of next week, delivery to the republic of 20000 units is expected. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers it appropriate to place an order for the next batch right now.
The meeting raised the issue of testing of potential visitors to the Dnestr and Dnestrovskie Zori sanatoriums. They considered privileged recipients, the cost of which is largely covered by the state. It was decided that preliminary testing of such patients will be carried out at the expense of funds allocated from the state budget to pay for vouchers, while budget funding for this article will not be increased, that is, the number of privileged places in sanatoriums will be reduced. In this regard, the President urged to approach the issue of distribution of vouchers among state employees with special care, giving preference to citizens who are most in need of sanatorium improvement.
The President asked about progress in the opening of the Rybnitsa laboratory. Repair and construction work has been going on there for a week. It was noted at the meeting that the republic needs this center. Now about 250 samples of biomaterials are processed per day, it is necessary to reach an indicator of 400 studies. It is important that the testing process is continuous. In this regard, Vadim Krasnoselsky instructed to develop such a work schedule for the laboratories involved in the study of biomaterial samples from Pridnestrovians so that there is not a single day of idle time.
The next meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the PMR President on prevention of the spread of coronavirus is scheduled for Thursday, August 20.
