The President in the course of the working meeting was informed about the activities aimed at combating the consequences of the snowfall. 715 workers of communal services and 96 units of special equipment, as well as 54 employees of emergency rescue units and 18 vehicles of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were involved in the liquidation and rendering assistance to the population in the past four days. 8 vehicles (three each in Tiraspol and Dubossary, one each in Grigoriopol and Bendery) were saved from the snow drifts. Andrei Barabash, First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Chief of the Public Security Militia of the PMR Ministry of Internal Affairs told the President that 19 people used the heating points. According to him, the movement of passenger transport in towns and districts of the republic, including those of international importance, is carried out in a regular mode at present. More than 1800 tons of sand and salt mixture was consumed during the reporting period. However, it was not without road accidents and injuries. Approximately two dozen road accidents and fifty cases of injuries caused by unfavorable weather conditions were registered.
Vadim Krasnoselsky called on communal services and emergency rescue units to cooperate, to constantly monitor the situation throughout the country to prevent and respond quickly, noting that the safety of citizens depends on the timeliness and coordination of work.
