Working discussion with members of the Operational Headquarters

It was noted in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President that the incidence rates in Pridnestrovie are kept at a fairly low level –22 cases are detected per day on average despite the extremely unfavorable COVID situation in some countries. Both the research of biomaterial samples and the detection of coronavirus are minimal now (the fact of infection is confirmed in 5.5% of those tested if we talk about the six-month dynamics; for comparison, in March this figure was 28%). The mortality rate of the last week was 3.7%, higher than the general indicator for the entire period of the pandemic (2.4%), lower than the May one (5%). The threefold reduced hospital capacity copes with the flow of patients: two functioning hospitals are less than half loaded (Rybnitsa – 92%, Slobodzeya – 36%). At the same time the availability of a reserve of medicines, personal protective equipment and medical oxygen is constantly monitored. The Minister of Health reported to the PMR President on the available stocks in the warehouses of the Ministry of Health and hospitals. As for oxygen, a 155-ton reserve has been formed on the basis of MMZ (this is a possible factory maximum storage of liquid oxygen). Up to 5 tons more are produced daily for the current needs of enterprises and medical institutions. If necessary, production can be increased to 6 tons per day. The possibility of purchasing liquid oxygen abroad is also being considered for the future. It was recalled during the meeting that the maximum consumption was at the beginning of this year and amounted to 11.3 tons daily. The available reserves of liquid oxygen will be enough for the republic for a month even with such a flow rate and the current rate of production. The issue of its processing into a gaseous state was also discussed today. Two Pridnestrovian enterprises in addition to the metallurgical plant announced their readiness to carry out this work. Regarding the operability of the Slobodzeya station it was not possible to restore the compressor equipment on our own. Negotiations are underway with the organization for repairs from Chisinau, as well as with the manufacturer of the out of order equipment, Chinese company on the provision of technical documentation.

Members of the Operational Headquarters discussing the progress of COVID vaccination noted that 38171 Pridnestrovians completed vaccination course at the moment. Such an opportunity appeared for a larger number of residents of the republic regardless of age and type of activity. Chinese vaccines are freely available to everyone. 15838 people received the first component of Sinopharm and Sinovac. The Russian vaccine is used not only for pensioners and social workers who are in contact with a large number of citizens, but also for applicants (and their parents) who travel to Russia to enter universities. There was a proposal to include all students who go to study outside the republic (regardless of the course) to the in the Sputnik V list of extraordinary students. The decision will be made in the near future.

Other measures for the prevention of coronavirus were also discussed at the meeting of the Operational Headquarters. The Sanitary and Epidemiological Service opposed the abolition of quarantine restrictions on public transport. The number of passengers in the cabin should still not exceed the number of seats. The raids showed that this requirement is not met by everyone. 590 vehicles were checked during the past week. 29 violations were revealed. More than three dozen violations of the rules for wearing medical masks were recorded during the verification activities at various facilities. The President urged citizens not to relax and remember that the risk of infection is still high, and he aimed the regulatory authorities on strict control of executive discipline in all spheres.
