Working discussion in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters

Vadim Krasnoselsky noted in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President that the average daily incidence rate in the republic last week was 84 cases. This indicator is quite stable. If it and the existing effectiveness of the treatment of patients in COVID hospitals holds, the Ministry of Health will cope with the load. If the average daily morbidity and (or) duration of the stay of infected citizens in hospitals increases, then the number of beds will have to be increased. The Operational Headquarters is preparing reserves. Potential sites for the placement of level II hospitals include the Dnestrovskie Zori health camp (Mereneshty) and the Solnechny dispensary (Dnestrovsk). At the same time, the President noted that it would be possible to partially re-profile hospitals of I and III levels into infectious diseases centers. Such an opportunity will appear after it is possible to reduce the waiting period for the results of the study of biomaterial samples of citizens suspected of being infected or preparing for discharge. Today the workload of laboratories is so great that it takes several days to wait. 2562 analyzes were sent to work only in the four days that have passed since the previous meeting of the Operational Headquarters. Totally, 50232 samples were examined in laboratory conditions during the pandemic. The President instructed the leadership of the Ministry of Health to train additional personnel to work in PCR laboratories. Specialists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are now employed in Tiraspol (this is due to the outbreak of coronavirus among employees of the AIDS laboratory), Rybnitsa, due to shortage of personnel, works in one shift (if there were personnel in shifts, there could be three). The launch of a new rapid testing system is intended to reduce the burden - not only on coronavirus laboratories, but also on the state as a whole, since the stay of citizens in hospital conditions is paid for from the country's budget. Delivery of 15 analyzers and consumables for them is expected within a week. The equipment that allows determining the presence of the virus in the patient's body within 15 minutes with a sufficiently high accuracy, will be delivered to hospitals of levels I and III, as well as provide them with an ambulance service. The efficiency of testing will help unload these medical facilities, which will allow the vacated beds to be allocated for organizing the treatment of patients, Vadim Krasnoselsky explained. The President noted advisability of administrations of large organizations and enterprises to acquire their own express-type mini-laboratories. The cost of purchasing equipment and tests will not be as large as the losses due to the forced downtime associated with the quarantine of the team in case of an outbreak of coronavirus, the President said. This measure is advisory in nature for legal entities. The medical center "TiraMed" will have to purchase this type of equipment without fail. Its branches, the purpose of which is to collect biomaterials from citizens for research on paid basis, are now operating in all cities of the republic. Pridnestrovians wishing to make sure at their own expense that there is no infection will be given the opportunity to choose the form of testing - PCR or express with the advent of equipment for express testing.

Provision of medical institutions with mechanical ventilation devices was discussed at the meeting of the Operational Headquarters. One of them went out of line in the Rybnitsa hospital. Considering that there are now more than a hundred units of this equipment in the PMR Ministry of Health as a whole, the President instructed to redistribute the existing ventilators based on the real needs and workload of specific healthcare institutions.

Vaccination of the population is another topic of today's discussion at the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President. We are not talking about coronavirus vaccinations. Despite the quarantine restrictions, members of the Operational Headquarters consider it necessary to resume vaccination of adults and children against other diseases. Vaccination rooms will start accepting patients shortly. At the same time, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that it is important to ensure all security measures. He is confident that society must return to full life even in the pandemic.
