The Republic Day is celebrated by Pridnestrovians

Pridnestrovian statehood is exactly 31 years old. The creation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic was proclaimed on September 2, 1990, at the II Extraordinary Congress of Deputies of all levels. This date is celebrated annually in all parts of the country. Official celebrations of the state level are traditionally held in Tiraspol, the Pridnestrovian capital. The festive events were opened by the ceremony of laying wreaths and flowers at the Glory Memorial. The PMR President, heads and representatives of state power and administration bodies, clergymen, military personnel, the public, official guests who arrived in Pridnestrovie to celebrate the Republic Day took part in it. The memory of the defenders who gave their lives for the peace and freedom of the Fatherland was honored with a Minute of silence. Flowers are lowered to the Eternal Flame, the pedestals of the monuments installed on the territory of the memorial complex, the graves of the heroes who at different times defended the Pridnestrovian region.
