Pridnestrovie celebrated the 33rd anniversary of statehood

Pridnestrovian parliamentarians, speaking on behalf of the whole people, proclaimed the formation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Socialist Republic exactly 33 years ago on the 2nd of September 1990 at the historic and fateful Second Extraordinary Congress of Deputies of all levels. This very event was the starting point of the modern history of Pridnestrovian statehood. Pridnestrovians annually celebrate their main state holiday on this day no matter how the internal situation and the external situation develop. Festive events are held in all cities and regions of the country today. All memorials and monuments to the defenders have flower-laying ceremonies and rallies. Folk festivals were organized everywhere on behalf of the President. Official celebrations with the participation of top officials were held in the capital. The President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky on behalf of the people of Pridnestrovie in commemoration of the 33rd anniversary of the formation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic lowered a memorial wreath to the Eternal Flame of the Tiraspol Memorial of Glory and a scattering of symbolic scarlet carnations to the stone slabs with the names of the defenders who gave their lives defending the Pridnestrovian land, forever buried in which more than eight hundred heroes. The memory of the fallen and deceased defenders, as well as the victims of the aggression of the Moldovan nationalists, was honored with a minute of silence.

Among the participants in the flower-laying ceremony were the heads of state authorities and local self-government, the First President of the PMR, representatives of the Tiraspol-Dubossary diocese, military personnel, including the OGRV and the peacekeepers, members of public organizations: the Union of Defenders of Pridnestrovie, joint strike committee, the "Memory" Union, women strike committee, People's Militia, United Pridnestrovian People's Front, the Chernobyl Society, the Council of Veterans of War and Labor and the Armed Forces, youth organizations. Representatives of the Abkhazian and South Ossetia republics took part in the celebrations. Everyone who came today with flowers to the memorials follows the indestructible life principle, which the President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky spoke about: "If you forget, they will forget you." Pridnestrovians remember.
