The President laid flowers at the Eternal Flame of the Memorial of Glory of the Capital, as well as at the monuments to the founders of Tiraspol - Catherine the Great and Alexander Suvorov

Today, three times decorated with orders Tiraspol celebrates the 228th anniversary of its foundation. Festive cultural events have been reduced to a safe minimum due to the difficult epidemiological situation. Celebrations involving a large crowd of people have been canceled. At the same time, the city administration did not abandon the tradition of visiting the Memorial of Glory on this holiday. Here, a minute of silence was observed for the heroes who gave their lives for the peaceful sky over Tiraspol; a flower-laying ceremony took place. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky on behalf of the residents of Tiraspol and the entire Pridnestrovian people laid flowers at the Eternal Flame, monuments and graves of the defenders. The leaders and representatives of the PMR Government, the Supreme Council, local authorities and administration, clergy took part in the solemn event.

The founders of the city were not unnoticed on the Tiraspol name day. The President laid flowers at the monuments to Catherine II and the great military Generalissimo Suvorov. This is a new tradition for Tiraspol residents.

Vadim Krasnoselsky congratulated the Head of the Tiraspol administration today. On October 14, Oleg Dovgopol celebrates double holiday: in addition to the City Day, he also celebrates his own birthday. Today the Head of the capital turned 45. Congratulating the hero of the day, Vadim Krasnoselsky called the coincidence of dates not accidental, emphasizing how great the contribution of Oleg Dovgopol to the development of the city. The President expressed confidence that the business and personal qualities of the birthday man will continue to contribute to the economic prosperity and infrastructural transformation of the Pridnestrovian capital.

On the occasion of the City Day, which Tiraspol celebrates together with the Orthodox holiday of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, festive liturgies are held in all churches of the capital today.
