The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky discussed preparations for Easter with Archbishop Sawa

The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky held a meeting with Archbishop of Tiraspol and Dubossary Sawa. The Archbishop told the President about the readiness of Pridnestrovian churches for the upcoming Easter services. The most important holiday for Orthodox Christians Easter will be celebrated on the 5th of May this year. Easter celebrations traditionally begin at midnight between Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday.

Vadim Krasnoselsky noted in turn that that new churches have been built in Pridnestrovie recent years and parishioners have the opportunity to choose a church to their liking.  

The Archbishop continuing the theme of new churches spoke about the completion of the construction of the Bendery Church of the Resurrection of Christ, located in the Borisovka microdistrict. They plan to hold the first service there for Easter. The first gift for this temple will be an icon painted by Moscow masters. Archbishop Sawa mentioned the church under construction in Ternovka. It is planned to install a roof there and erect domes with crosses this year.
