The President held a meeting of the Operational Headquarters

The current state of affairs was discussed at the next meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the PMR President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus. The epidemiological situation in the republic remains steadily unfavorable. The number of Pridnestrovians infected with COVID-19 is growing due to objective reasons. 128 cases have been identified during the 4 days that have passed since the previous meeting of the Operational Headquarters. 1113 samples of biomaterials were sent for laboratory research during this period. 25697 polymerase chain reaction tests were performed total, during the pandemic, 1876 cases of coronavirus disease were registered, 1513 Pridnestrovians (more than 80% of cases) coped with the disease, 59 carriers of COVID-19 died. The mortality rate among carriers of coronavirus (3,1%) is low compared to other countries. It was noted during the meeting the pandemic did not have a negative impact on the mortality rate in Pridnestrovie: this year it is noticeably lower than last (for the reporting period, 173 deaths less).

If we compare weekly indicators, then the incidence in the country as a whole has grown 2,4 times: approximately thirty new cases are registered per day. This is due not only to an increase in the number of sick citizens, but also to a large coverage of the population with testing. Employees of educational institutions are widely examined. Until now, the teams of preparing for the opening of kindergartens have been checked (142 preschool institutions are already functioning). Starting today, we have started a phased express testing of teachers and staff of schools and other educational institutions. Vadim Krasnoselsky called on the teachers who have passed the procedure to limit their circle of contacts and minimize contacts before the start of the school year. By the end of the month, testing will also cover members of election commissions (more than 120 people).

Availability of express tests was discussed during the meeting. It will be enough available to cover the staff of schools, but additional resources will be needed to check the staff of colleges, technical schools, universities. Another batch of express tests (20000 units) is expected to arrive in the republic in the coming days. As for medicines, anti-coronavirus drugs are currently available to provide treatment for up to three thousand citizens. The President instructed to replenish the supply so that the Ministry of Health was provided with medicines at the rate of 10 thousand patients.

It was decided to resume the work of coronavirus hospitals in Tiraspol and Bendery, taking into consideration growing number of carriers of the virus (233 infected patients and 115 with suspected COVID-19 are now in two coronavirus hospitals in the republic). They will be returned to service by Wednesday. The most difficult patients will be sent to the Slobodzeya hospital. Members of the Operational Headquarters noted that the incidence rate in border-located settlements is higher than in towns and districts far from neighboring states, in which the COVID situation is becoming more complicated every day. The President drew attention to the need to minimize the number of unreasonable and unjustified border crossings by citizens: exit should be allowed only in cases of extreme necessity and in compliance with all quarantine requirements.

The President spoke about inadmissibility of weakening discipline among the medical staff. The inspections showed that not everywhere and not everyone observes the mask regime, and the social distance between visitors to healthcare institutions is not ensured. In this regard, there are cases of bringing head physicians to administrative responsibility. Vadim Krasnoselsky reminded the heads of medical institutions about their personal responsibility and instructed the Health Ministry to intensify control over implementation of quarantine requirements. Members of the Operational Headquarters see the practice of commission rotation as effective, when employees of regulatory bodies come with an inspection to an area that is not under their jurisdiction.
