The President held a meeting with members of the Consultative Assembly

The creation of the Consultative Assembly of the first Pridnestrovian deputies under the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic was at one time initiated by Vadim Krasnoselsky – at that time the Parliament Speaker. The main function of the Assembly is advisory. Vadim Krasnoselsky as the President met more than once with the founders of the republic and the Pridnestrovian parliamentarism. The interaction is systemic. Today's conversation was initiated by the President. The conversation took place in the plenary hall of the legislative body of the republic and lasted more than four hours. They talked about domestic and foreign policy, problems of concern to citizens. The pricing control, the state of the housing stock, the provision of housing for the families of the PMR defenders, allocation of medicines to privileged categories of citizens, assistance from the state in endoprosthetics and stenting are among the topics. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled that joint replacement surgeries for defenders are carried out abroad at the expense of the Pridnestrovian budget. The cost of one prosthesis is about five thousand conventional units. There is a priority, taking into consideration the significant need. The question of creating a department of endoprosthetics on the basis of one of the Pridnestrovian hospitals remains open. The pandemic prevented it from solving. The question is the forced diversion of finances to anti-coronavirus measures and the temporary absence due to the global quarantine of the possibility of specialists who need special training to leave the republic. This issue will be included in the agenda of one of the next meetings under the President. They will also discuss the topic of stenting operations on the territory of Pridnestrovie. The PMR citizens with heart diseases requiring this type of surgical intervention are delivered to Chisinau clinics at the moment. Hundreds of lives have been saved during the program. Now the possibility of opening a specialized department at the site of one of the medical institutions in Tiraspol is being discussed. A corresponding investment proposal has been received.

Russian-Pridnestrovian relations and the upcoming Duma elections were discussed. Members of the Consultative Assembly ask to organize a meeting with candidates who plan to represent the interests of Pridnestrovians in the State Duma of the Russian Federation. They focused on the topic of export. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled that food products produced in the republic were sold abroad for an amount greater than the proceeds from the export of electricity in 2019. The year of 2020 was complicated by drought and pandemic. There is hope to increase foreign trade turnover by 50% in 2021. Vadim Krasnoselsky told the interlocutors that the leadership of the Pridnestrovian Government is now discussing issues of external economy with Moscow colleagues.

The issues related to the environment (waste recycling, combating unauthorized landfills, using environmentally friendly materials, preserving and expanding the forest fund, renewing green spaces in settlements, combating ragweed) were also discussed. They paid special attention to the topic of infrastructure renewal. It is noted that this is an important social policy and an example of really operating development program. They talked about the fate of unfinished projects left as a legacy from the activities of ANO “Eurasian Integration”. The republic will complete the work at its own expense. In the queue there is a TB hospital in Bendery, then a building of a medical facility in the capital (there is a link proposal in this building for various dispensaries that are now scattered throughout the city), a school of Rybnitsa is the third on the list. They also asked questions about progress in the improvement of park areas. It was noted that the past pandemic year has somewhat stalled work at some sites. The direction requiring, in the opinion of the first deputies, attention is the state of trolleybuses and non-compliance with the public transport schedule. They also raised issues related to the reorganization of the republic's sports system. They talked about work on the patriotic education of young people. The topic of relations with Moldova was discussed. The President noted that during the meeting he received online reports of provocations by Moldovan unionists on the Pridnestrovian border.

Vadim Krasnoselsky, concluding the conversation, expressed gratitude to the interlocutors, stressing that the issues raised had been taken into account.
