The President held a video conference on improving the law on public procurement

Today's discussion on the public procurement law is an intermediate one and is of a working nature. The President invited the PMR Government Chairman and the Supreme Council Chairman, the Minister of Economic Development, and the heads of state administrations. He asked about progress in improving the existing regulations. The amendments on the basis of numerous appeals from representatives of town, district, rural administrations, as well as local councils were initiated by the President.

The Chairman of the Government spoke about the working meetings, during which all interested parties outlined their positions. Conclusion: the law is necessary, but it must be finalized based on practical realities. This can be done only by a precedent method, says Alexander Martynov. In this regard, all participants aim to identify weaknesses and initiate amendments. Another aspect that was highlighted during the meeting is the lack of awareness of the executors of the law. The President called for closer cooperation, recalling that the government has specialists in charge of this direction, who should be contacted for consulting support in a working order.
