The President inspected the progress of work on the improvement of the Alley of Heroes at the Borisov cemetery in Bendery

The task to bring the Alley of Heroes to the proper state was set by the President to the administration of Bendery. Today, Vadim Krasnoselsky, accompanied by the mayor, inspected the progress of work on the improvement of the part of the Borisov cemetery, where the defenders of Pridnestrovie are buried. The design of the complex should be united and correspond to the memorable and mourning essence of the Alley, Vadim Krasnoselsky initially noted. At the moment, tile covering has been removed from all graves. It is replaced by granite. Gray color is selected for gravestones. Black and burgundy elements will tint it. The uniform memorial plates will also lead to uniformity, including those installed by unknown defenders. The question must be coordinated with relatives of the dead heroes or members of the relevant public organizations, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized. At the same time, work is being done to decorate the area around the memorial cross, in which lithiums is served on the departed defenders of the republic, and are also covered with paving slabs. New noble edging is also required for flowerbeds located adjacent to the graves, the President noted. In addition, he recalled the importance of landscaping. Works must be completed before June 19 of the current year.

Another construction site of Bendery that is visited by the President today is the pool. The head of the city administration Roman Ivanchenko described the progress of the reconstruction, funded from both the capital investment program fund and the city budget. The 25-meter bowl, designed for 6 swimming lanes, has been idle since 2003. From the point of view of depth, it was decided to keep it at different levels, the Head of Bendery said. According to him, the contractors expect to put the object into operation by the end of November this year. Vadim Krasnoselsky in this regard noted that the primary factors in the construction of sports facilities are quality and safety. “It is impossible to delay the completion of work, but unreasonable haste to the detriment of quality in such a matter is unacceptable. We are talking about the health, safety and comfort of our citizens,” the President emphasized.
