The President recognized the work of the PMR Ministry of State Security as satisfactory

The results of operational activities for 2022 were summed up at the Ministry of State Security. The meeting of the Collegium of the Department was attended by the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky.

Speaking with a report, Minister of State Security Valery Gebos noted that the work of the department was organized taking into account changes in the foreign policy situation, various risks and threats to Pridnestrovie. More than 9.5 million citizens crossed the state border of the PMR through information systems in 2022. Illegal activities of 653 violators were suppressed, 778 administrative and 6 criminal cases were initiated. 1395 wanted persons were detained. The illegal export of timber worth more than 117 thousand rubles, as well as other goods and goods worth more than 680 thousand rubles, was prevented.

The Ministry of State Security as part of the improvement of the legislative framework made the necessary changes and additions to the laws of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic "On operational-search activities", "On state secrets", "On licensing certain types of activities" and other regulatory legal acts. In addition, a number of legislations have been developed aimed at implementing the state information and scientific and technical policy in the field of information security, taking into account international norms and standards.

The tasks in the field of ensuring the security of the state for the coming year were outlined in the course of the meeting of the Collegium. Among them there are intensification of activities to obtain proactive information about military threats, the identification and suppression of sabotage-terrorist and extremist manifestations, the neutralization of cyber attacks, the protection of state secrets and the blocking of information leakage channels when it is processed on electronic media. Ensuring the economic security of the country, fighting corruption, embezzlement and misuse of budgetary funds, further development of new technical means for protecting the state border, improving infrastructure and living conditions at checkpoints, as well as improving the professional and ethical culture of employees providing border control remain the priorities. Particular attention will traditionally be paid to the formation and strengthening of the state ideology among the younger generation, aimed at respecting and preserving historical, cultural, moral and traditional values.
