The President met with the Chairman of the PMR Public Chamber Vitaly Glebov

Vadim Krasnoselsky discussed with Vitaly Glebov the activities of research laboratories and the Supreme Advisory Council on Science and Technology of the Pridnestrovian State University named after Taras Shevchenko during the conversation at the presidential office.

The President, emphasizing the importance of the work of the research laboratories, noted that he pays special attention to it. The activity of research laboratories must be effective, and its results must have practical value, the President is sure. Previously, he pointed out the need for close interaction between the customer and the research performer. “The customer must provide a topic that will later find practical application in one or another sphere of the republic’s activities, the research laboratory is obliged to fulfill the order, revealing the topic, and the PSU to control this process. All three participants must eventually produce a common valuable product”, said Vadim Krasnoselsky.

Speaking about the situation with the Supreme Advisory Council on Science and Technology, the President drew attention of the Head of the Public Chamber to the fact that the work of the Сouncil should be brought to a qualitatively new level. The Supreme Advisory Council on Science and Technology faces tasks that are important for society and the state, the President emphasized, calling for more activity.

Vadim Krasnoselsky recommended Vitaly Glebov to discuss the functioning of the research laboratories and the Supreme Advisory Council on Science and Technology at the next meeting of the PMR Public Chamber. According to the President, the leadership of the relevant ministries and the state university should be invited to the dialogue. Vadim Krasnoselsky aimed at analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of the functioning of these associations, it is necessary to carry out “correction work”, identify weaknesses and develop a plan for further work, taking into account the findings.
