The President communicated with Pridnestrovian diplomats

The President met with the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to learn what, in addition to foreign policy and international relations, diplomats and foreign ministry officials are concerned about. The one-and-a-half-hour conversation made an opportunity to offer insights into and listen to the opinion of the President on issues of concern. Interactive format is the choice of Vadim Krasnoselsky. “I do not set as a goal the analysis of the work of the department and the setting of tasks for the future. There are meetings and boards for this purpose. I am committed to face-to-face communication. It is important for me to know what worries you, your professional and personal opinion on various aspects, because you have a serious amount of diverse information”, the President said when opening the meeting. The circle of today's interlocutors of the President is quite wide - the Minister and his deputies, employees of departments and offices, lawyers and linguists, the topics of the questions are diverse.

For example, they asked, what speculation in foreign media around the Moldavian metallurgical plant was justified in opinion of Vadim Krasnoselsky. The President called the shown interest speculative. “Three years ago, when the enterprise did not work, there was no speculation. It suited everyone, except, of course, the people who work at the MMP and residents of Rybnitsa in general, since the plant is a city-forming enterprise. Today, when the plant is successful, it annoys someone”, the President stated. Vadim Krasnoselsky reminded of tens of millions of dollars in withdrawn assets, of the multi-million outstanding obligations of the plant, as well as the threat of dismissal of more than two thousand workers. Then he cited the figures of recent years, when MMP regained the status of a profitable economic entity, responsible taxpayer and employer. The plant increases production and refit. “Last year, for the first time in 10 years, MMP smelted more than 500 thousand tons of steel. They wanted to increase the volumes, but sanctions from Ukraine prevented, argued that the plant was allegedly the property of the Russian Federation. The company is almost 100% owned by the Pridnestrovian state. We conveyed this information to all necessary recipients and defended the lifting of sanctions. The question is closed. But desire to talk among those who like to confuse the matter remains”, said Vadim Krasnoselsky.

They talked about environment and the prospects for the further development of such business activity as recycling of solid household waste. It was noted that the measures already taken, including the sorting of garbage, made it possible to reduce by a third the receipt of solid waste to the Malaeshty spoil disposal. They asked the President about the fate of unfinished building of the school number 15 in Tiraspol. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers that the facility should be completed. The Kirovsky microdistrict in which the educational institution is located is expanding and the need for additional training places is growing. Repair and construction work will be completed at the expense of the Capital Investment Fund 2020-2021, the President informed. Another topical issue for all Pridnestrovians is road condition. They cited examples - both of those that were successfully repaired and those in unacceptable condition of the plots, named specific addresses, suggested solutions to the problem. “Our self-sufficiency should manifest literally in everything, including the repair of roads. We should not be dependent on external factors. The transition from asphalting to concreting is the use of our own materials and workers, this is internal capitalization, the preservation of currency in the state”, the President recalled, noting that the addresses mentioned in the question are known to him, the government, and the road services. Gradually, the road network of Pridnestrovian cities will change, the President assured.

The topic of sports was mentioned by the interlocutors. Pridnestrovian diplomats propose to resume the practice of holding friendly football matches among embassies and representative offices. They talked about scientific activities, focusing on the fact that it should be applied in nature in modern realities. The question traditional for the majority of departments is the possibility of raising the level of skills of specialists, including outside the republic. Everyone without exception is concerned about the issue of improving housing conditions. The President spoke about implemented measures of state support. The Government on the eve submitted law-in-draft, with the adoption of which young families and young professionals will be able to receive substantial subsidies for the purchase of the cherished square meters of their own homes.

All meetings of the President with the public are with discussion of politics. Questions on this topic were addressed to the President by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They talked, for example, about the pros and cons of vivid appraisal statements about various events taking place in the world. They were interested in the opinion of Vadim Krasnoselsky on which platforms - external and internal is worthwhile to intensify work on presenting the position of Pridnestrovie. They also asked whether the time had come for the claims to the international courts regarding the Moldovan military aggression in the early 1990s and the restriction of a number of Pridnestrovian rights today. “One of the main principles of criminal law is unavoidability. No matter how much time passes, the criminal who killed a person must wake up in a cold sweat with the thought that they will come for him and he will answer for his actions. There are quite a few historical examples when in some states after decades of criminals who encroached on the lives of civilians were brought to justice. Our current task is not to lose memory. Almost three decades passed after the war. New generation has grown. It is necessary to remind of the events connected with the formation of Pridnestrovian statehood. It is necessary to create information environment around our past, present and future. The site is not so important as how much information and how it will be presented there”, said Vadim Krasnoselsky, emphasizing the fundamental role of Pridnestrovian diplomacy in this work. “Love Pridnestrovie and the Pridnestrovian people. Remember for the sake of whom and what you work. We must believe, we are bound to be successful,” Vadim Krasnoselsky summarized, aiming the interlocutors for further effective work for the benefit of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
