The President honored the memory of the dead soldiers-internationalists

The flower-laying ceremony was held at the capital Memorial of Glory to mark the 32nd anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan. A minute of silence was honored in memory of the soldiers-internationalists, whose lives were cut short by ten-year war. 54 out of 13 thousand soldiers and officers killed on Afghan soil are Pridnestrovians. 14 are residents of Tiraspol. They were remembered today by name.

The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky on behalf of the Pridnestrovian people laid a wreath at the monument to the Afghan Warrior and flowers at the foot of the monument to the Grieving Mother. The ceremony was attended by heads of state authorities and administration, clergymen, military personnel, social activists, participants in the hostilities in Afghanistan, family members of the dead soldiers-internationalists.
