The PMR President held a meeting with the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Belarus

Vadim Krasnoselsky met with Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Belarus Nikolai Yerkovich at the presidential executive office. The interlocutors after exchanging greetings noted the importance of direct contact, stressing how important it is to have information from the source. They talked about the historical ties of the Pridnestrovian and Belarusian peoples, their common past, joint modern projects. They paid attention to the Belarusian diaspora in Pridnestrovie. They focused on interaction in the educational line and in the cultural sphere. One of the most important topics of the conversation is the observance of human rights. The Belarusian Ombudsman will have working meetings with Pridnestrovian colleagues.

Nikolai Yerkovich took part in the opening of the “Archaeological heritage of Pridnestrovie. Scythian culture” exhibition. He noted how Pridnestrovie is changing, recalling how the territory that is now occupied by the Catherine Park looked like before. The Belarusian guest will take part in the celebrations dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic at the invitation of Vadim Krasnoselsky.
