The PMR President met with representatives of the national communities of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic

The meeting was held at the House of Official Receptions. Representatives of a dozen national communities gathered for a dialogue with the President, which was joined by representatives of the Supreme Council and the Government of Pridnestrovie.

Opening the meeting, Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled that representatives of 72 nationalities live in Pridnestrovie. There are three official languages ​​in the republic. The President emphasized that the state ideology of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic consists in strengthening the community of the Pridnestrovian people.

Vadim Krasnoselsky suggested that the interlocutors tell us what the national communities of the republic live today, what difficulties they face and what questions they would like to get an answer to. The dialogue began with the question of the fate of the Russian peacekeeping mission in Pridnestrovie, in particular, the recent statements by individual politicians about the need to change its format. The meeting participants expressed concern that this could lead to a destabilization of the situation in Pridnestrovie. The President recalled that Russian peacekeeping in the Pridnestrovian land is several hundred years old, and today's peacekeepers are the continuers of the glorious work of their ancestors.

The foreign policy topic was continued by the issue of the proposed meeting of the PMR President with the President of Moldova Igor Dodon, as well as its possible agenda. Vadim Krasnoselsky said that it is being formed and will contain relevant, traditional issues for the negotiation process.

Representatives of the Union of Moldovans of Pridnestrovie, the ROD, said that thanks to state support, it was possible to move the solution to the problem with textbooks in Moldovan language. In previous years, their republic experienced an acute shortage. To date, textbooks for the 5th grade have been compiled, work is underway to create textbooks for sixth graders. Representatives of the public organization noted the lack of dictionaries and workbooks in the Moldavian language. Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that the analysis of the need for educational literature and the formation of an order is the task of the Ministry of Education. In general, he called the achievement that the Moldovan language was preserved in Pridnestrovie a serious achievement.

Representative of the Gagauz Union of Pridnestrovie Birlik addressed the President with a request to apply the instruction on connecting electricity to the chapel of St. Yaroslav the Wise, located at the Novoye cemetery in the Zapadny microdistrict. The organization also asks to consider the possibility of noting that public funds built a chapel. Vadim Krasnoselsky gave instructions to the Government.

The interlocutors shared their plans and ideas. For example, a proposal was made to open the House of National Languages ​​in the republic. This implementation will make it possible to rally representatives of various nationalities living in Pridnestrovie. A single venue for events of various kinds will allow for an international cultural exchange. The President supported the idea of ​​the Government and the administration. All participants should gather to discuss pressing issues, plan events, support. The gathering places of the Pridnestrovian Roma. They took into account that representatives of the diaspora compactly live in the Balka microdistrict.

They spoke during the meetings and on the improvement of settlements. Members of the public gratefully note that the appearance and infrastructure of cities and regions of the republic are changing. The capital investment program, the second year is successfully operating in the republic. In 2018, more than 170 objects were repaired. This year 140 more are in the work. Particular attention is paid to the healthcare system. Future plans were discussed. It is planned to completely upgrade the medical infrastructure for a maximum of five years. The healthcare development strategy provides for the re-equipment of medical staff, advanced training for medical personnel and advanced training for medical personnel, and the adoption of the PMR Government Chairman Alexander Martynov.  

They spoke in the course of the meeting about introducing youth to sports. They mentioned the “Leather Ball” mini-football tournament among schoolchildren initiated by the President. Stadiums, swimming pools, playgrounds, sports complexes, repaired and under construction throughout the republic were mentioned.

An important topic of conversation among social activists with the President is patriotic education. The interlocutors agreed that this work is carried out at a fairly high level in Pridnestrovie. A vivid confirmation of this is today's event dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Pridnestrovie from Nazi occupation, which took place at the Kitskansky bridgehead. It was also said during the meeting that the current generation is the heirs of not only great victories, but also the greatest tragedies - national, geopolitical, military, and it is unacceptable to hush them up. The President recalled that on October 30, a reburial of the remains of victims of political repressions found near Tiraspol Fortress will take place in Tiraspol. Then a new temple and museum will be opened.

Concluding the hour and a half conversation, the President called it interesting, important and extremely necessary for him. He praised the efforts of representatives of national communities to keep folk traditions, culture, language. He considers the consolidation of society, the rallying of the Pridnestrovian people to be common for everyone, and especially for himself, as the President of the republic.
