COVID statistics

According to the information announced in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus, 3747 Pridnestrovians are carriers of COVID-19 at the moment. 1899 of them are being treated in specialized hospitals. There are 10 hospitals deployed in the republic, designed for a one-time stay of 2340 patients. There are 250 hospital beds in Slobodzeya, the Rybnitsa hospital - 257, the Dubossary hospital - 201, 235 in Bendery based on the city hospital, 139 in Bendery on the basis of the mother and child center, 419 in Tiraspol on the basis of the Republican Clinical Hospital, 156 at the hospital for the disabled, 147 at the Tirotex dispensary, 72 at the Kamenka hospital. There are 23 patients in the specialized department of isolated stay and treatment of infected wards of the psychiatric hospital in the village of Vykhvatintsy, Rybnitsa district. On the basis of the infectious diseases hospital of the penitentiary institution – 3 State Service for the Execution of Punishment, 8 people are being treated.

The total workload of the Pridnestrovian hospital network is 81%. 438 people or 23% of the total number of citizens currently hospitalized are hard to tolerate coronavirus, 47 are patients in intensive care units, twelve patients are connected to mechanical ventilation devices. 1840 Pridnestrovians are being treated at home. 265 such patients needed hospitalization from November 15 to November 21. The number of children infected with coronavirus has decreased to 113 people (123 children a week earlier).

8631 samples of biomaterials from citizens with suspected infection were examined during the week (352562 during the entire time of the pandemic). The fact of the disease in the reporting period was confirmed in 2028 cases. The average daily incidence is 290 (a week earlier – 358). The decrease in the indicator has been observed for the fourth week in a row. In total, 75528 cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded in Pridnestrovie during the coronavirus pandemic. 1739 carriers of the virus – 2.3% of cases –died (sixty deaths in a week), 70042 people – 93% of those infected – coped with the disease (2890 recovered during the reporting week). 2064 Pridnestrovians are in mandatory self-isolation.

28 classrooms in 19 general education institutions of secondary education, as well as one preschool institution and 38 groups in 30 kindergartens, were quarantined in the republic from November 15 to November 21.

2440 Pridnestrovians underwent a full course of vaccination during the reporting period. 117503 people or 30.7% of the adult population were vaccinated against COVID-19 in the republic totally.

There is a volunteer movement in the republic. More than 80 people who are undergoing home treatment or in self-isolation have turned to Crisis Centers for help from volunteers during the week.

Work has been intensified on behalf of the President to refer to computed tomography of citizens undergoing treatment for coronavirus at their place of residence. 35-40 such patients are examined weekly. Vadim Krasnoselsky drew attention to the need to create conditions for greater coverage of rural residents with CT examination.

The PMR President asked about the readiness of the republic's medical infrastructure to supply a large batch of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine. According to the Minister of Health, confirmed by the chief sanitary doctor of Pridnestrovie, medical institutions are provided with the necessary amount of refrigeration equipment that maintains the appropriate temperature regime (minus 18-20 degrees). The expected batch of vaccine is 100 thousand doses (for 50 thousand two-stage vaccination courses).

They spoke at a meeting of the Operations Headquarters about the formation of a stock of medicines – both for COVID hospitals and for a non-coronavirus medical preventive institution. Instructions were given to organize purchases for the first quarter of 2022.
