COVID statistics

According to the data announced during the next meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus, 22000 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the republic since the beginning of the pandemic. 107367 laboratory tests of biomaterial samples were carried out during this time. 405 deaths were recorded among citizens diagnosed with coronavirus (1.8% of the number of cases). 12738 people (58%) were successfully treated.

2468 patients are being treated in quarantine hospitals of the republic, more than a third of them are in Tiraspol. There are 44 people in critical condition in intensive care units, three of whom are connected to lung ventilations. The workload of specialized hospitals is 84%. 73 people with suspected infection are awaiting the results of PCR testing in hospital settings. 3116 residents of the republic receive home treatment. There are 68 minors among the sick at the moment. 47 citizens were transferred from home to hospital treatment during the three days that have passed since the previous meeting of the Operational Headquarters, due to the deterioration of the general condition, (since the beginning of December - 291 totally). 1507 infected were identified during the same period, as a result of 3393 laboratory tests, 20 people died, 603 residents of the republic coped with the disease.

The average daily incidence rate in the republic this week was 502 cases, a week earlier - 407. Citizens in need of support received 400 calls to the volunteer service during the reporting period.
