The head of Bendery informed the President about the progress in the town improvement

Meeting with the head of the Bendery state administration was held at the presidential executive office. Roman Ivanchenko informed about the current work on the improvement of the town and plans for the future. Increased attention is paid to roads. Large-scale road work will be held this year along Panin Street. This is a sought-after section of the Bendery road network, which has national and even international significance. The current geopolitical situation has seriously affected logistics, significantly increasing the intensity of traffic on the designated road. Cars involved in the export and import of goods, including large-tonnage ones, move along it. According to Roman Ivanchenko, about 17000 cars pass through Panin per day. The canvas has not been overhauled for several decades. The amount of work is large. Contractors were involved to speed up the process, in addition to the municipal enterprise. Vadim Krasnoselsky drew attention to the necessity of creating conditions for traffic during the repair period – to think over a reverse system, install temporary traffic lights, if necessary. In addition, the President recalled that not only the roadbed of the highway, but the sidewalks along it should be put in order. Funds have been allocated for the renovation of roadside infrastructure. Parking lots and public restrooms are being improved. The PMR President asked about the technologies and materials used, emphasizing that local ones should be used as much as possible if possible.

The repair of the railroad along Sovetskaya Street, from Gagarin Street to the bus station, has also been financed in the current year. Increased attention is paid to the improvement of infrastructure for motorists and the organization of public space for pedestrians in addition to direct road work and related engineering (replacement and installation of ground communications under the road surface). Additional parking spaces are being thought out and equipped, it is planned to introduce a system of parking meters, video surveillance, high-quality and economical street lighting. Large resource costs (finance, labor and time) require the renewal of curbs. The project has thought out an additional exit, which will allow unloading the traffic on this popular section, said Roman Ivanchenko. He indicated that the roadway will be covered with specialized paving slabs. Its use is one and a half times cheaper than asphalting, and wear resistance is higher. Vadim Krasnoselsky asked about the auctions held among potential contractors, was interested in the choice of small architectural forms, and asked about plans for landscaping. The green array will be updated. This is the task for the autumn of this year. Construction and repair work is scheduled to be completed by mid-September.

The President was interested in progress in the development of a network of sports grounds at educational institutions of the city. The stadiums have been landscaped near school number 16, the first gymnasium and the lyceum. The plans for the current year include the construction of multifunctional sports complexes for physical education and active pastime of local residents near schools number 11 (Leninsky microdistrict) and number 15 (Kavkaz microdistrict). The term for the full implementation of two-stage projects is two years.

The sleeping microdistricts of Bendery are also being transformed from the point of view of creating leisure and recreational zones. Squares of Khomutyanovka and Lipkany are being equipped this year. Next in line are Giska and Protyagailovka.

Work continues in the Oktyabrsky park. The central part has been reconstructed, equipped and is already actively used by the townspeople as a walking and park area. THE builders are working on the right and left wings of the Bendery embankment now. LED lights are installed along its entire length. Paving slabs in progress. The designers proposed to improve the site, where school and kindergarten events can be held, as well as artists can work.

Vadim Krasnoselsky gave a number of recommendations and instructions after the exchange of information and opinions, recalling that control over the implementation of municipal and state programs should be constant.
